Fresh in from Japan we have this great looking Honda GB500TT Mk 2. This example has only covered 25,995 km or around 16,246 milers. I have the previous, “Shaken”, information, (Japanese Mot), that shows on the 12-11-2014 the mileage was 25,600km or around 16,000 miles and on the 13-12-2016 the mileage was 25,800km or around 16,125 miles. This bike starts, runs and rides great without issue and is supplied registered on an age related plate with a full service, new tyres, battery and a years Mot. This bikes comes complete with the often missing rear seat cover.
General condition is very good for what is a 30 year old machine. There is some light corrosion on some of the alloy casing’s, under the lacquer. This is typical for these kind of finish at this age and is easily restored.
A great looking classically styled machine with the benefit of both electric and kick starter thats fast appreciating in value.
Some background on the GB500TT: The GB500’s engine was derived from the Honda XL600 engine, a dry-sump four-stroke dirt bike. The four-valve single cylinder engine featured a radial four-valve combustion chamber, along with a tubular frame, wire-spoked wheels with alloy rims, clip-on handlebars, solo seat, seat hump, and pin-striped fuel tank. The styling resembled TT single-cylinder racing bikes (such as the Manx Norton, the BSA Gold Star and the AJS 7R) that were prominent in the TT until the 1960s. The GB500 is a fine-handling machine with a wheelbase of 1410mm: by contrast, that of its sibling XBR500 was 10mm shorter. The MK2 version features a frame mounted half fairing and is the rarest model to find.

We always endeavour to ensure that all mileages are correct as advertised and will state this where possible. With imported vehicles we are not always able to confirm this by contacting previous owners therefore we are unable to completely verify the mileage recorded on the odometer and it must be considered incorrect in these cases.
